RAYMOND A. BAWAL, JR. AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY

Raymond A. Bawal, Jr. was born in 1968 in Nuremburg, West Germany he traveled the world until his parents settled in Saint Clair County, Michigan in 1978. A young boy was completely captivated by the large freighters. So began a lifelong study of the Great Lakes Freighters. An avid photographer and a one time board member of the Huron Lore Society he has spent his life photographing and studying the freighters along the waterways.

Mr. Bawal, Jr. completed his first book in 2008, Ships of the St. Clair River. In 2009 he completed his second book and is currently working on a third book concerning naval warfare in World War II.

Mr. Bawal, Jr. currently lives with his fiance in Macomb County Michigan.
